Individual Therapy

Residents participate in individual therapy sessions 1–4 times per month, or more frequently as clinically indicated, based on their individualized treatment plan, clinical needs, and treatment goals. Individual therapy provides a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where youth can process experiences, explore emotions, develop insight, build healthy coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth.

Common treatment areas may include trauma and adverse childhood experiences, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, anger management, behavioral challenges, impulse control, family conflict, grief and loss, self-esteem, identity development, peer relationships, social skills, school-related concerns, and future planning.

Through consistent therapeutic support, residents develop increased self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, healthier coping strategies, stronger communication and problem-solving skills, greater resilience, enhanced self-confidence, and the tools necessary to achieve success both during treatment and after discharge.
